  1. I believe that the gay community has been persecuted for many years. Only 8 states allow gay marriage, and only 11 others will recognize a marriage outside the state. Marriage is very important for a couple. Not only in the sense that it shows a unity between the two people, but there are legal reasons too. From Employment benefits like taking leave to care for your spouse during an illness to Medical ones like being able to visit your spouse in the hospital in intensive care and making medical decisions for them. Without marriage these would be left up to their family, and with homosexuality as still a form of taboo, the family could choose to go against your wishes. But there are also reasons for why it shouldn’t be legal. From the fact that it leaves the family without a mother or father to how it would impose acceptance on all society. I would argue that there are plenty of families that don’t have mothers and fathers and that “imposing” acceptance is the same thing we did with the race rights of the 1960’s.

  2. Green Technology

When you think of the words, “green technology”, you’re thinking of the color green and probably your touch screen phone or a laptop, which you should keep that in mind as we precede this passage. Green Technology by Investopedia (2012), could be any device considered environmentally friendly based on its production process or supply chain. People like you and I do not put in mind the little things we operate everyday that could change our living conditions. Turning the faucet all the way off so those little drops of water comes to a halt, switching off the light in the daytime or if no one is in the room, or even unplugging unnecessary things not in use. Those little things save our planet little by little. Green Technology will and is going to be our future so why not start now helping us better the world one day at a time.

  3. My final paper talked about oil in general, the history of oil and when it first discovered. As we all know, oil became a very powerful resource in our modern days. It can be used to produce products such as plastic and many other products. Oil also allowed us to travel all around the world due to the production of kerosene for airplanes and gas to be able to drive our cars. Every country needs to have oil, so they can run their factories and be able to transport goods across the country. In better words, oil became a necessity of life in our modern days. My final paper also included the political power of having oil. Being able to have this much of control on a product that has a very high demand everywhere. Unfortunately, some countries having so much of control on OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) that they raise prices of oil and try to make it unstable. My paper also discussed the need of having an alternative energy such as solar and wind energy to be able to be independent in producing our own energy while keeping a clean environment for our kids in the future.

  4. Have you a dream in become something that you like so much? I think that everyone has a dream, ones is to become doctors and others in teachers, but some people have more than just one dream like me. When I was younger I liked to study a lot of math, I was perfect student in math and my grades were A and B, so I had dream in be an economic, businessman or accounting, but with time goes on things were changing such as I became more interesting in watching soccer game because of my father. He likes to watch and practice sport, so on that time my mind changed a little bit because I was confused about what I wanted be in the future. When I finish my high school, I already knew what I want to be one is to become expert in computers and other is to be soccer coach. These two things are my dream in this moment in my life if I do not become a soccer coach, but I become expert in computers then I am going to try in realize the others things that I like such as become an accounting and economic.

  5. “First we thought the PC was a calculator. Then we found out how to turn numbers into letters with ASCII — and we thought it was a typewriter. Then we discovered graphics, and we thought it was a television. With the World Wide Web, we've realized it's a brochure.” (Douglas Adams, 2007) Have you ever noticed that our planet is changing everyday, for instance, how we used to move from one place to another, how we can cure many diseases, how easy it is to learn something new, and how? It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity. The word technology is the most appropriated to describe those changes. By saying that, I believe the most important factor for this change is the technology, which has impressed us everyday, which we has been exposed everyday, and which has helped us with health, transportation, construction, communication, and education.

  6. Everyone is free to choose what to believe, but in my opinion love is a pinch of everything: chemical reaction, people’S beliefs, and even a bit from Plato’S Symposium, which explained that people were divided and their life mission is to find their pair.

  7. People often ask why I love to dance so much and what’s the benefit of dancing so much. They ask me, “Doesn’t your body get tired?” “Don’t you get bored?” The only words that come out of my mouth are, “If you danced, you would understand.” Dance is therapy. Dance is a way of life for some people similar to myself. Dance has plenty of benefits: physical and mental. Dance is a way of expression for a lot of people. People don’t realize how much they dance throughout the day, whether it is an actual dance or just a silly dance. Dancing is also used as a ceremonial ritual for mating in many countries. Dancing is healthy for the mind and is used as a form of physical therapy. Statistics show that dance is considered to be one of the top 5 forms of therapy out of the 60 forms studied. Facts stated by http://www.centralhome.com/Reasons-to-Dance.htm.

  8. Love in general, is a relation that brings the respect of each other. That what people understand when they are saying the word “love”. When I first met this feeling it was something that blow my minds, something like a light, and at that time I could scream at each street about it but would of say a word at the same time. But love is something different. It is not the way how you feel, it is the way how you live and think about almost everything. For some people it is all about relationships between people, for some other people it is the way you trust, but it is not separated but combined all together. That what love is about for me.

The help and support for our youth in our community is very poor, however it is more saying on “what” we will do for our youth, instead of putting the action behind it all in all actuality. I am here to support our young youth by giving back and also my main point is to show my love for them by opening up two businesses and being very strong about them each. Mentorship is a main point in a child’s life, besides everyone once was a child and everyone has to learn in order to maintain a healthy and strong life. Thus, “Be a source of encouragement to them and they can be inspirational to you” is a very understanding quote I chose to tell myself each and every time I give a helping hand to my youth as they come to me for any advice. Standing in your way will make you miss out on awesome points in your life and you will not be able to look at it as a mistake, You are the only person who can change, stop, or most of all block you from your out takes and ability to stay firm and motivated. The law enforcements, however do a horrific job on the law, to illustrate they force what I believe in “their laws and how they want to.” With this in mind I will therefore give my all to keep them from the system and most importantly giving them my hand each and every step of the way as long as it may be needed.

  10. Some minority males seem to get ignored or dont get the same opportunities as some of the other fortunate males in American. Based on their background or up bringing. I dont think that there is enough resources out there that focus on this issue at hand. Yes, of course some say that there are a few programs here and there, but they never focus on what can the commissioner do to help the area that these young unfortunate children come up in. You see certain individuals are focused on how to keep the rich rich and keep everyone else where they are, i believe that this is unconstitutional and a outrage to the human race itself. This all reflects on what President Obama and Vice President Biden is fighting for. If they the "people" allow them to allow the middle class and opportunity the there might be a slight change in the up bring of our new generation children. Although we will always be a minority to the majority there might be some hope for those who come along in the new generation.

  12. The trash as an alternative source of fuel.

In my point of view, we need to use an alternative source of fuel. Our approach in the relationship with nature has bottomed out and we are on the verge of disaster.

In the modern world, the accumulation of debris is a serious problem. This number is very large and continuously growing. Waste processing has been established in some countries, but most prefer to take it on a specially designated landfill to bury. Nowadays, household waste is a significant part of the various components such as packaging, paper, food waste, plastic and other combustible components. Burning them, we can get a considerable amount of heat, so we can use it as an alternative fuel. The problem is the uncontrolled impurity halogenated plastics such as PVC, Teflon, halogenated flame retardants and plasticizers. All of these substances are very dangerous, and in the case of dioxins can severely pollute our environment. To prevent their release into the atmosphere were developed various schemes, which include deep cleaning of filters, and absorbers. The proposed scheme superadiabatic combustion, integrated approaches. In general, the problem of dioxin emissions exists, but can be solved.

    Summary.

Permanent release and accumulation of household waste can be considered as a promising source of thermal energy. The calorific value of waste is high enough. A major problem is the complete absorption and neutralization of released gases. Sustainability is questionable, because the recycling is preferred, not incineration.

  13. I believe there should be a Department of Pharmacy agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, as adjuvant to the FDA. This agency would regulate and enforce legislation involving prescription medication usage, dispensing and prescribing. I believe we need such an agency because prescription drug abuse is a growing problem in the United States. As reported by the CDC, nearly three out of four prescription drug overdoses are caused by prescription painkillers, and 100 people die from drug overdoses every day in the United States. It would also promote diversion of dangerous drugs with the assistance of the DEA. It would require states to share information about prescription medications through a database established to record and monitor prescription drug usage. Patients information would be protected by HIPPA, as the only parties with access would be doctors and other prescribers, pharmacists, and the agency. Access to this information would also be beneficial to people who suffer from disease process, and chronic illness. It would enforce limits on scheduled drugs, and prevent drug-drug interactions in patients seeing more than one provider. Currently, there is no federal legislation monitoring the use of scheduled drugs by individuals. The DEA is alerted when a provider’s DEA number is used excessively to write scheduled drugs, or when a pharmacy is dispensing over the projected usage of scheduled drugs. There is currently no way to prevent an individual from seeing multiple providers for the same condition, collecting multiple prescriptions for the same drug/s, and filling them all at different pharmacies. This system could be modeled after the program used for limiting the OTC sale of products containing pseudoephedrine.

  14. The English language is in trouble. In the past decade, hundreds of new words have been added to the Webster dictionary, words that do not deserve a listing in the once respected reference. Words, such as “f-bomb” and “sexting” have emerged from the common vernacular of the younger generation. Coupled with the surge of communication technology such as smartphones and tablets, words have begun to be truncated for convenience. “I have to go” has been ridiculously simplified to “gtg”. “Be right back” has become into “brb”. Not only does this simplification of words lead to poorer standards in spelling and grammar, it prevents children, teenagers, and even adults from expressing their thoughts in actual words. Employers, who are typically born in the last century, still appreciate appropriate spelling and grammar. Some have rejected resumes and job applications solely due to the fact that the applicant does not meet a certain standard of diction. This modern surge of abbreviated words cannot continue. It is reducing the English language into a series of letters and phrases. Imagine Shakespeare writing an entire play with the vernacular we use today.

  15. Divorce has always been commonly present in American society. Although it is significantly an extreme social issue, the rate of divorce still has been getting higher and higher within the last fifty years. Sadly, researchers have recently observed
that fifty-percent of all marriages in America will shortly end in divorce. This also means if we were to witness two couples of our friends or family got married, perhaps one of them would very soon say goodbye to each other. This rate also becomes riskier as one tries to make up another marriage. If everybody were randomly asked for one simple yes no question: “Have you ever heard about divorce?”, he or she would definitely answer it in only two ways. Either he answered: “Yes, I’ve heard and seen many people around me get divorced!” or he would rather admit himself as “Yes, I’ve heard, and I am the one who experienced it too…!” For every ten to thirteen seconds, somebody just gets a divorce. This means by the time you read to this point, a couple just recently got separated, a family relationship just got collapsed, and society has just seen another miserable tragedy. And once again, if for a random chance, somebody were asked for another simple yes no question: “Is divorce a tragedy?”, he or she would absolutely answered it in only two ways one more time. Either he says “Absolutely!” or perhaps he would admit himself: “It destroyed my life…!”
Everybody does know about divorce. Everyone does understand how bad divorce is. Then, why the rate of divorce is still always high enough to tear apart many family pictures like that? Truly, I wonder.

  16. Each year, the U.S government passes numerous laws to protect its citizens. Yet, one perfectly legal product manages to seize over 443,000 American lives each year. Despite the efforts of our government to protect the citizens of our country, the government continues to ignore the single most preventable cause of premature deaths. This vicious culprit that attributed to these deaths is a common cigarette. There is one area where cigarette smoking is very costly and that is health care. Our government is spending large amounts of money to help treat smoke related illnesses that could have been prevented. To fully ban cigarettes would cause an economic scare for our government. But if the government cares for the health and quality of life of its citizens it should find a way to execute this plan. The government needs to help save these innocent lives, improve our economy and improve our way of life.
